Nutty Oatmeal and Apples

Hearty, warm, and filling, our nutty oatmeal and apples is a comforting, sweet, and perfect on a cool autumn or winter morning.

The Backstory: There is nothing like a bowl of hot cereal on a cold and frosty morning. Our nutty oatmeal and apples is an energy boosting starter that will delight any child or adult. But serve it plain and it can be boring.  The old standby has been to add brown sugar, or cinnamon and raisins to perk this dish up.  How about changing some things around and serve your child an alternative. Try some fruit and chopped nuts.  By eliminating the sugar you will be giving the kids a better substitute, fruit.  Whether using instant or regular oatmeal this is an easy and enjoyable, hearty start to the day.
