Homemade Hot Cocoa with Marshmallows

Homemade hot cocoa with marshmallows is everyone’s favorite winter drink. The more marshmallows, the better!

The Backstory: What could be better than a cup of homemade hot cocoa with marshmallows on a crisp and cold day? It doesn’t matter what time you serve this drink, kids as well as adults will certainly thank you! It is the perfect snack when the kids come home from school or back inside after playing in the snow. Just thinking about it makes me wish for snow (and I live in Florida!) More of the Backstory after the recipe

Hot Cocoa with Marshmellows

Steaming hot cocoa with fluffy marshmallows piled high...what could be better than this on a crisp autumn day or a cold snowy afternoon? As long as those marshmallows keep coming, there's nothing that can top this classic treat.

…The Backstory continues: Sharing a nice cup of cocoa is also the perfect time to sit down with your child or grandchild and  engage in small chatter about how they are and how their day went. This is (delicious) quality time for both of you to have a few minutes alone just to talk. Enjoy these precious moments. And don’t forget the marshmallows.
