Homemade hot cocoa with marshmallows is everyone’s favorite winter drink. The more marshmallows, the better!
The Backstory: What could be better than a cup of homemade hot cocoa with marshmallows on a crisp and cold day? It doesn’t matter what time you serve this drink, kids as well as adults will certainly thank you! It is the perfect snack when the kids come home from school or back inside after playing in the snow. Just thinking about it makes me wish for snow (and I live in Florida!) Hot Cocoa with Marshmellows
Ingredients
- cocoa powder prepare according to package directions
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- large or mini marshmallows
- ground cinnamon for dusting (optional)
Instructions

Prepare the cocoa according to directions on package instructions (using hot milk or boiling water). Stir to combine thoroughly. Top with a generous amount of large or mini marshmallows. Dust with a sprinkling of cinnamon (optional) and add 2 cinnamon sticks to each mug.
