Classic Baked Apples – Healthy Option
Nutmeg, cinnamon and brown sugar infuse these classic baked apples and the results are just delicious.
The Backstory: There’s just something about baked apples that evokes memories of childhood, grandparents, and the warm, sweet smells of the fall Jewish holidays. Maybe it’s the autumn spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, and that delicious smell of brown sugar as it bakes in the oven). There’s just no denying that there’s something about this classic dish that never fails to bring me back to my Jewish roots, which is why I wanted to create a lighter version of this beloved dish, so I could feel good about serving it to my own family and friends at the holidays and all year round. I hope you love it as much as we do. More of the Backstory after the recipe…
