Mushroom Sauce
Mushrooms have a distinct flavor. They also let off a lot of water, that is why cleaning them with a lightly damp piece of paper towel is recommended. The spices in this recipe only enhance their wonderful taste.

mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
use any mushroom that you like

Kosher beef broth

flour

butter
or pareve margarine

Kosher salt

black pepper

tsp.
ground nutmeg

clove garlic chopped

tbsp.
fresh parsely, chopped

shallots, chopped

In a saucepan on low to medium heat, melt the butter and gradually add the flour, stirring constantly. When flour is mixed in, slowly add the beef broth and keep stirring. When the broth is incorporated, add the rest of the ingredients. Cover and cook on low heat, stirring often, for about 15 minutes. Remove cover and let cook on medium to high heat until sauce is reduced and thickened. Remove from heat and serve.
