Apple Cranberry Cobbler - Healthy Option
This delicious dessert is naturally sweetened from the fresh apples and extra delicious from the mouth-watering sauce made from the whole and dried cranberries. The brown sugar crumb topping just puts it over the edge!
For the Apple Cranberry Base

fresh apples, peeled, cored and chopped

whole berry cranberry sauce

all-purpose white flour
For the Topping

all-purpose white flour

whole wheat flour

brown sugar

margarine, soft/tub, zero trans fat

Combine apples, cranberry sauce, dried cranberries, lemon juice and first amount of flour (amount indicated for apple cranberry base only). Pour into non-stick baking pan (or one sprayed with non-stick spray).

In bowl, combine second amounts of flour (one indicated for the topping), along with the brown sugar. Cut in margarine with pastry blender until crumbly.

Sprinkle over apple cranberry base mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until fruit is tender and top is slightly browned.
