Date Nut Squares
These squares are so easy to make. But the best part is that they are delicious. The sweetness of the dates and the crunchy nuts are a perfect blend. Serve with a glass of cold milk and enjoy this snack.

eggs

vanilla

dates, cut in small pieces

cup
chopped walnuts
or nuts of your choice

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 inch pan with aluminum foil.

Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well add the eggs, oil and vanilla. Mix all until smooth. Add the dates and the nuts. Combine.

Pour into pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven. When the squares are still warm, (not hot), cut into squares, and serve.

These squares also freeze well. Wrap individually in wax paper and store in a plastic bag.
