Orange Cinnamon French Toast With Strawberry Sauce
Whole wheat bread is coated in a delicious egg white batter, sweetened with orange juice, maple syrup, and cinnamon and lightly fried to golden perfection. A delicious strawberry sauce puts it over the top.

frozen unsweetened strawberries, thawed and drained

raw egg whites (fresh or Egg beaters 100% Egg Whites)

unsweetened orange juice

For the sauce, blend the frozen thawed strawberries to a puree in a food processor. Place in a saucepan and heat on low, just until warm. Add the lemon juice and 3 tbsp. of the maple syrup and stir.

For the French toast, whisk together the egg whites with the milk, orange juice, vanilla, ground cinnamon, and the remaining 3 tbsp. maple syrup, until well combined.

Evenly coat each piece of bread in the mixture.

Heat oil in a non-stick fry pan (2 tsp. oil for every 4 pieces). Cook coated bread slices on each side for about 1-2 minutes or until cooked through and browned.
